Anticipation is high for the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), which kicks off Oct. 1. More than 16,000 attendees and 800 exhibitors are expected to descend on Louisville, Ky., for the largest event in North America for utilities and utility contractors.
John Deere Power Systems is exhibiting in booth L176 at the biennial show. We’re excited about the opportunity to connect with customers and showcase our latest products and emissions technology solutions for the utilities industry.
All of our Tier 4 off-highway diesel engines meet stringent emissions regulations and customer needs for performance, operating efficiency, durability and reliability; here’s a preview of the four models that we’ll have on display in packaged power units at ICUEE:
- PowerTech PSS 9.0L. Recently certified as compliant with Final Tier 4, Stage IV and CARB emissions regulations, the 187 to 317 kW (250 to 425 hp) engine features an Integrated Emissions Control system of cooled EGR, a DOC/DPF and SCR.
The configuration with SCR meets NOx emissions using lower levels of DEF — 1 to 3 percent of diesel fuel consumption depending on the application. Low DEF consumption means DEF tank size can be smaller, which minimizes the impact on vehicle applications while extending DEF filter service intervals and reducing operator involvement.
- PowerTech EWX 2.9L. The 36 to 55 kW (48 to 74 hp) model meets Final Tier 4 and Stage III B regulations using a DOC/DPF without cooled EGR or SCR. The use of the DPF in the 36 to 55 kW (48 to 74 hp) power range provides optimized performance and fluid economy.
- PowerTech PWX 4.5L. The 63 to 91 kW (85 to 122 hp) engine achieves Interim Tier 4/Stage III B regulations with cooled EGR and a DOC/DPF exhaust filter.
- PowerTech PVX 6.8L. The 138 to 187 kW (185 to 250 hp) engine meets Interim Tier 4/Stage III B compliance using cooled EGR and a DOC/DPF.
John Deere also will exhibit the Funk lineup of modular pump drives. Funk pump drives offer more than 5,000 configurations to meet equipment needs with quiet operation, performance and dependability.
The hustle and bustle of ICUEE is just days away. After getting this preview of the John Deere Power Systems display, we hope you’ll stop by booth L176 for a closer look at our newest products and emissions solutions for the utilities industry.
